In 2007 Santé was looking to find another source of added value that could be offered in connection to the services it was providing.

The main motivation in choosing this direction was interest in our employees, fulfillment of ethical and humanistic ideals in the area of health-care services, as well as the opportunity to change the image of the company and strengthen competitiveness in the market.
Socially responsible company can be recognized by its effort to help all those who are willing to work and meet the necessary requirements regardless of age, sex and health. These are very often superb employees who at the moment cannot work due to unsuitable work load, job activities required, inability to commune to work daily. Unwillingly these people became hard to employ.
If an employer values good employees – mothers on maternal leave, handicapped or elderly people – he must adjust work conditions in such a way so as to allow these employees to organize health, work and private life, at the same time taking advantage of their experience.
JIt is well known that majority of society is prejudiced towards handicapped persons. One of the goals of Santé was to fight these prejudices because they are unfounded and hinder full integration of handicapped persons in society. For this reason a project was initiated which opened the door to the labor market to handicapped persons and allowed them to engage in professional and social life.
The first step was the creation of remote workplaces for SANTÉ LINE, by which Santé offered persons with serious handicap the possibility to find jobs in the area of telephone organization of preventive and therapeutic care from their homes.
In the next phase Santé started creating new and modifying existing jobs to accommodate employees with handicap, which lead to founding of a new company Santé Network, which employees over 50 % with handicap participating in the provision of certain products and services.
Thanks to our experience and analysis of jobs it was possible to create new positions allowing work from home (human resources referent, competition analyst…). Also, the company started modifying job descriptions and working hours with respect to health limitations of the employees and work requirements. This way Santé Network attracted more qualified employees with handicap, who are not able to work fulltime due to their handicap.
In total about 80 employees with handicap found job in Santé Network. These employees hold many different positions: from receptionists, Santé Line operators, medical personnel and salesmen to specialists in administration and operational and technical departments.

What impact had the creation of jobs for handicapped on Santé?
By employing handicapped people the company acquired loyal and stable employees who value their jobs and so the company received added value by giving them employment.
By employing handicapped persons and by connecting two legislative obligations on the side of the clients (occupational preventive care and facultative compensation) Santé Network s.r.o. acquired unmatched position of medical services provider within the market.
At the same time it is a question of prestige not only for Santé, but also for the corporate clients who are obliged to deal with the issue of employing handicapped people and this way they may declare that by purchasing service from Santé Network s.r.o. they also contribute to the fact that many handicapped people have work and thus contribute to their re-integration in professional and social life.
Santé Network rejects practices of certain employers who employ handicapped people only on paper. We want to promote the work carried out by qualified handicapped employees, who actually work for our company. Based on these facts we decided to enter the project for creating trade-mark “working Handicapped Persons”, which aims at promoting handicapped employees and their employers, provided that the handicapped employees truly participate in production or provision of services. We are very pleased and honored to be the first company to acquire trade-mark “Handicapped Persons Working in the Service Sector within the entire Czech Republic”.
Motto: „When people claim that something is crazy we should start doing it. If they claim that something is good it means that someone else is already doing it.“
