Zen Touch Shiatsu, literally “pressure from fingers” was developed at the beginning of the 20th century in Japan as a combination of traditional Chinese medicine and modern scientific findings. Massage shiatsu uses energy channels in the body – meridians, acupressure and reflexive places, Jin-jang principle and five elements of traditional Chinese medicine.

Zen Touch Shiatsu focuses on massaging entire meridians and balancing “full” and “empty” areas in the body. This releases the flow of energy and restores mental and physical balance and harmony followed by deep and healing relaxation. Massage involves gradual pressure using fingers, palms and forearms, kneeling on certain parts of body, rotation of joints, manipulation with and stretching of stiff body parts.
